Faculty

We are fortunate to be able to be selective in the hiring process. All applicants undergo a 1st and 2nd interview, turn in 5-8 references which we check, and we very rarely hire a teacher who does not have a bachelors or graduate degree in music or education unless they are extremely talented and have years of teaching experience. Our teachers are not just performers who claim they can teach - they are music educators.

In addition, new employees complete a background check, a credit check, orientation, and pedagogical training. Many teachers also complete our Suzuki training. We continue to train and observe teachers while they remain employees. Since our teachers are employees, not just contractors, we are able to provide additional elements of quality control that other studios and companies cannot provide by law due to the contractor status. We are happy to invest in our employees by giving them that financial status. Furthermore, our teachers sign a minimum 1-year contract and our turnover is quite low.
